Order a small one before you order a large one. People tell us the small is plenty for two, and they are usually right.
The sauce that comes with them is ours. We make it here and we bottle it as 1855 Sauce, so you can take some home or have a jar sent to you.

On this corner since 1855
Brick walls, a plank floor and a long carved bar with an anvil standing on it. The walls are hung with framed pictures of the town, which is most of what regulars end up talking about while they wait.
It is a small room and it fills up, so there is sometimes a wait at lunch and on Friday and Saturday nights. When the weather is right, there are tables outside.
You will find us in the old part of Ste. Genevieve at 46 S. 3rd St. Parking is free, in the lot and on the street.
The awning has been repainted since this photo, but the benches are still out front and the specials board still goes on the sidewalk.
